This afternoon, I was reading Pinochio for Sonny boy, in preparation for his afternoon nap.
When we came to the part where the the fairy tells Pinochio that each time he told a lie, his nose would grow longer, he grew thoughtful. I could almost see the wheels clicking in his active little brain.
"Amma," he started.
I waited for the momentous announcement.
"Amma, you buy me Pepsodent, OK."
"Huh?"
"Boys who brush with Pepsodent don't tell lies."

Mama-Mia, Mystic, WIAN: Yeah, there is an ad that has ice lolly dripping onto the shirt of a boy and him lamenting to his friend that he has to invent a lie for that stain as his Mom's forbidden him to eat lollies. which is when the friend says that he doesn't have to tell lies to him Mom, as he brushes with Pepsodent, which lets him eat all the lollies he wants and fights the keetanu.....
!!!! the connection had me totally fazed for a bit.
:D
Kids are so observant and creative too.....until we send them to schools and destroy both! Sigh!
