I've done my list in this post itself. I've not read even half - read only about 37 in that 100. But hey! definitely more than 6! The husband's read about 49
Do jot down a comment to let me know how many you've read- just for fun! Am sure most of us would have read at least 25 and more.
And some who'd have read maybe half?

I think I might be somewhere at a 10. I am not sure I might like most of thoes classics though. Do you want to rate the ones you like the most, and the ones you would advise to stay away from?

This is a Facebook tag :)
been going around FB profiles since months! interesting one :).
BTW did manage to find out the name of the book that you were looking for? The doctor, the soldier and the woman turn between them...?

Praveen said...

CoS: I just couldn't understand how Faraway Tree got missed. They're not the Wishing chair series, are they? :-( Next Strand Sale, for sure!

Poppy: Neither do I... some of 'em were read while I was doing my MA in Lit. ok, will edit the post to highlight the ones I liked. :-)

Praveen: FB, huh? No, Praveen. :-( The first thing I did was go to the link and check out the books. I still search for it... if only I could get the name of the author at least...
Hey, you've been thru a lot of my posts then.. :-D brought a smile to my face, you did.

Suma: I refrain from commenting on your Math ;-) am just wondering where BBC got that 6 from... ..? hmmm...

Wow thats an impressive list...and somehow being a book lover, this got me drooling...and yes, though sadly I have a lot to catch up on :(
@Praveen...is the book you are talking of " The English Patient" by Ondaatje?

Maggie said...

Hey JLT, is this the tag? I hit 50! (If you count Les Miserables in French not English) :-)

Praveen said...

@Prats: Hi! Nope. I don't think so. I have watched The English Patient if not read and I dont think it is that one.

Just Like That said...

ST: You're only JUST married. :-D so does this mean that the list is going to stay 41 for some time to come????

WIAN: balderdash! :-)

Prats: Me have a lot to catch up on too. No, its not the English Patient. Ondaatje??? Another guy (or is it gal) I never heard of. Is the book a good read?

Mags: WooHoo Mags! :-D You're the highest till now. And you married and a mom and again a mom too!!!!

Praveen: There's a movie on the book too??! I have to read this one.

Just Like That said...

Suchismita: Welcome. But Harry Potter IS there on the list! In the first lot.

Mine is 36. And this is Poppy, not earlier (that's Sunita Thomas!)

Suchismita said...

Hi, what i meant was that we see harry on every list these days..almost like a default option...so can there be any list without that ...ever??? I read a bit, but the hype for HP put me off...haven't been inspired.

Sue said...

I've read about 70. I sorta lost count around the 80s but I don't think I've read less.

Sue: Wow! I hadn't even heard of some of 'em. You the nerdiest of us all till date! :-D
